This is the Juang tribe that has been designated as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) of Odisha which is primarily found inhabiting the district of Keonjhar referred to as "Juang Pirh." The term "Juang" means "Man" in their language and indicates a sense ofoneness or strong identity with the land. Although Keonjhar is their traditional homeland, migration to Angul and Dhenkanal areas has been witnessed in the community of Juangs. They enrich their culture through festival celebrations with music and dance making it very tailored to their lifetime remainder tradition as well.
