The Deori Tribe of Assam has a distinctive traditional attire composed of various rich cultural aspects. Deori men are also said to wear Ikhoon for the lower part of their body. Deori women, on the other hand, drape themselves into an Ujadooba Igoon, which is a wrap around attire secured at the waist with a Jokachhiba, which serves as a girdle.
Most of the time, women cover up their heads with a Gamocha or Gathiki, which is a customary piece of cloth. To make themselves look perfect, all men and women are wearing different traditional ornaments, which add a lot to their dresses.
The Deori Community takes pride in its traditional dress, which forms the cultural identity of the community. These garments are usually woven through indigenous methods and natural fabrics.
