For further purposes, the inside the outside surface is covered with beeswax to achieve the waterproof property. The basket is now turned into a food storage basket or a fashion pesticide for a rainy locality again select that entry. The beeswax may not only be functional but also just show up how this is the perfect use of local products for a need that the tribe feels every day.
Along with it, the basket has a bark string twisted to be a sling with which the user can carry it conveniently. This sling balances the weight and adds to the comfort carried with it by unloading evenly, especially when the basket holds heavy or bulky things. Such baskets have always been utilized in the day-to-day lives of the Chenchu tribe, especially for gathering, storing, or carrying items. In a way, the entire living practices of the Chenchu with schemes like using bamboo and beeswax to make baskets demonstrate the adaptation of natural resources to survive living. This learning is transmitted from generation to generation, keeping alive in the age of rich cultural heritage inherited by the tribe.
