short description
The Chang Naga tribe is one of the tribes that makes up the people of Nagaland. They are found mostly in the Tuensang district and have always been great masters in hunting, crafts, and colorful cultural expression in their lives. Their traditional hunting equipment includes a bamboo quiver which is a handy but beautiful item used to store and carry arrows conveniently and without risk. The quiver I am talking about is made from a single length of bamboo, which is found abundantly in our area and is widely used in Naga workshops. Thus, the ingenious way in which this wonderful thing from nature is utilized: its hollow body is the container, and the node at the lower end is a natural seal for closing the quiver as well as preventing arrows from slipping out.
